Part V: 4 The Early Church

In this chapter the authors discuss the early church in the New Testament, mainly referring to Acts. They stress the importance of living in community within the church. It’s so important to be in community with a church and discipling. We need each other to grow and disciple others. We need the support of our brothers and sisters in Christ in order to reach out to others!! Watch the video lesson this week! You will hear them stress the importance of this. We live in a world that tries to be self sufficient and independent but that is the exact opposite of what God wants for us!! This is a hard concept for people to grasp and something I struggled with a few years back! Watch this video : )

Part V: 3 The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is such a difficult concept to understand. The authors do a pretty good job of explaining it in this chapter tho. You can’t make disciples if you don’t have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside you. You have to be communicating with Him daily. They touched on the trinity on this chapter as well. In the video for this week they mention the book The Forgotten God. Francis Chan wrote it and he talks about the Holy Spirit within us in this book. I highly recommend it as a better means to understanding the Holy Spirit better. I urge you to pray about how the Holy Spirit is moving in your life and what He would have you be doing as a result of His moving in you. I’m praying for what He is doing in my life 🙂

Part V: 2 The Great Comission

Loved this chapter!! After all this is what it’s all about. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ then we are called to go and tell others about Him and make disciples. It doesn’t get any clearer than that. Watch the video lesson. I liked how they pointed out that when people get depressed sometimes that their focus is usually on themselves. And if we focus on others then we will be fulfilled as well as the the people we are fulfilling :). It makes a lot of sense. Not saying this is how it always is but generally speaking.

Part V: 1 Jesus The Messiah

Great video moment this week! You have to watch it. It talks about the difference with having a REAL relationship with Jesus and not just the fake part time Jesus 🙂 lol
You should go back and read Ephesians 2:1-10…..slowly!
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. He died so that we could live. And he did that so that we could have a relationship with him and TEACH others about him so that they too can have LIFE! 🙂
